Re: Winona Drive Senior Public School Staffing Changes

Dear Students, Staff, Parents & Guardians of Winona Drive Senior Public School, On behalf of the Toronto District School Board, we wish to inform you that on Wednesday, June 20, the Board approved a series of Principal/Vice Principal transfers and promotions. These approvals will result in an administrative change for your school.
At this time, we wish to share news of an important change at Winona Drive Senior Public School for September 2012.
First we wish to advise you that Vice Principal Manny Da Luz has been transferred to Eglinton Public School as vice principal. Mr. Da Luz has served the Winona community for the past three years. His wonderful demeanor with students, staff and community members is well known and he will be missed as he moves schools to gain another leadership experience.
At the same time, we would like to take this opportunity to welcome Vice Principal Rita Tsiotsikas to Winona Drive. She comes to Winona with two previous experiences as a vice principal in K-8 schools. Her most recent experience was as the Rawlinson Community School vice principal – a school serving students in the English program as well as in the Extended and French Immersion programs. Ms. Tsiotsikas has extensive experience with students who receive special education support. She will be a wonderful addition to the administrative team alongside Principal David Ehrlich.
Please join with us in thanking Mr. Da Luz for his support of the students, staff and community over the past three years. Also, please join us in welcoming Ms. Tsiotsikas to the Winona community.
